GB 28884 specifies the size, shape, weight and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, markings and quality certificates of seamless steel pipes for large-capacity gas cylinders. GB 28884 is suitable for manufacturing seamless steel pipes for cylinders with a volume of 300L~3000L.
GB 28884规定了大容积气瓶用无缝钢管的尺寸、外形、重量及允许偏差、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志和质量证明书。GB 28884适用于制造容积为300L~3000L气瓶用无缝钢管。

Manufacture: the tubes shall be manufactured by cold drawn and hot rolled.
Delivery Condition: heat treated.
Inspection & Test: chemical composition analysis, elongation test, hardness test, flattening test, bending test, flaring test, NDT, surface inspection and dimension check.

Length: 4000mm; 6000mm; 6500mm; 10000mm; 12010mm; and so on.
Max developed length: 30 meters, also U bending, finning, studded process can be provided.
Option: shot blasting on the outside surface to remove mill scale, make the surface matte colour; surface polishing as preparation work done for further processing, for instance finning.
