DIN 17175 applies to seamless tubes including tubes for headers of heat-resistant steels St35.8 (1.0305, TS 5/ISO 2604/II), St45.8 (1.0405, TS 9H/ISO 2604/II), 17Mn4 (1.0481, TS 14/ISO 2604/II), 19Mn5 (1.0482, TS 18/ISO 2604/II), 15Mo3 (1.5415, TS 26/ISO 2604/II), 13CrMo44 (1.7335, TS 32/ISO 2604/II), 10CrMo910 (1.7380, TS 34/ISO 2604/II), 14MoV63 (1.7715, TS 33/ISO 2604/II), 12CrMo195 (1.7362, TS 37/ISO 2604/II), X12CrMo91 (1.7386, TS 38/ISO 2604/II), X20CrMoV121 (1.4922, TS 40/ISO 2604/II), which are used in the construction of boilers, pipe-lines, pressure vessels and equipment for service up to 600 °C and at simultaneous high pressures, where the total stress and relevant scaling conditions can raise or lower the temperature limit.
Manufacture: tubes to DIN 17175 shall be manufactured by hot or cold rolling, hot pressing, hot or cold drawing.
Heat Treatment: the tubes shall be supplied suitably heat treated over their entire length. All types of heat treatments are normalizing, subcritical annealing, hardening and tempering with continous cooling from the hardening temperature and subsequent tempering, hardening and tempering with isothermal transformation.
Inspection & Test: chemistry composition analysis, tension test, flattening test, flaring test, NDT, surface inspection and dimension check.
Length: 5800mm; 6000mm; 6096mm; 7315mm; 11800mm; 12000mm; and so on.
Max developed length: 30 meters, also U bending, finning, studded process can be provided.
Option: shot blasting on the outside surface to remove mill scale, make the surface matte colour; surface polishing as preparation work done for further processing, for instance finning.
